Texas university adds course exploring Beyonce's 'Lemonade'

The University of Texas at San Antonio will offer a course exploring Beyonce's latest album Lemonade as a meditation on contemporary Black womanhood and feminism.

The course to be offered three times weekly is titled Black Women, Beyoncé, and Popular Culture.

Extra credit will be offered to students who wear a Beyonce-themed costume to class on Halloween this year.

This is not the first time a college has offered a course about the award-winning songstress.

In 2014, Rutgers University offered a class called Politicizing Beyonce.
