Two of R. Kelly's girlfriends defend him against sex abuse claims

Two of R. Kelly's girlfriends have come to his defence during a TV interview aired Thursday morning.

The singer has been charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse, allegations which he denies.

Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage's families say the pair are being controlled by the musician.

Both women denied those claims in the CBS interview which was recorded while R. Kelly was in the room.

Meanwhile, there were more tears in the second portion of the interview with R. Kelly.

The singer wept, saying he had little money left and blamed his ex-wife for destroying his reputation and his relationship with his children.

Separately, Kelly was taken into custody on Wednesday evening for failure to pay child support and was jailed.

Kelly owes his ex-wife $161,000.
