Jamaica has been ranked as the best country in the Caribbean in which to do business. The ranking comes from influential business magazine, Forbes.
Forbes ranks Jamaica as the 64th best country in the world in which to do business. That is a better ranking than Trinidad and Tobago which came out at 71, Barbados at 73 and the Dominican Republic at 86. Only Costa Rica and Mexico ranked higher than Jamaica in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Forbes devises its ranking by assessing eleven different factors which impact on businesses in a country. They include property rights, innovation, taxes, red tape and investor protection.
