GraceKennedy's Africa plans not affected by Ebola crisis

GraceKennedy has affirmed that it will not be reviewing its expansion plans for Africa, in the wake of  the Ebola outbreak.

Don Wehby, GraceKennedy's Chief  Executive Officer, told RJR's Financial Report that the company's plans in West Africa primarily concern Ghana. He said Ghana has reported no case of  Ebola, and the intention is to   continue to grow GK Ghana.

Mr. Wehby added that GraceKennedy does not have a presence in Nigeria but the company has been shipping its Dunn's River spices there over the last few months. He said the company will also be shipping its Nourishment product before year end.

Mr. Wehby noted that Nigeria had 20 reported Ebola cases earlier this year, but that the situation appeared to have been brought under control.
