Manufacturing sector grows during July to September quarter

The local manufacturing sector is estimated to have grown during the July to September quarter.

According to the Bank of Jamaica's quarterly monetary policy report, this expansion largely reflected growth in Food, Beverages and Tobacco mainly associated with increases in food processing.

The value added of electricity and water supply is estimated to have declined in the review quarter.

While electricity consumption remained largely unchanged, water production declined during the period.
