Millions in refunds secured for consumers last year - CAC

Jamaica's Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC) has declared that it managed to help consumers claim millions of dollars in compensation and refunds in the last fiscal year. 
  
The consumer watch dog agency, said it secured more than $30.5 million for aggrieved consumers. 
 
The money was recovered for 301 complainants, the CAC said, adding that, in total, it handled a total of 1,499 complaints last year. Of that number, 1,229 or 82 per cent were resolved.
