RBTT to close three branches
RBTT Bank announced on Thursday that it would be closing three branches across the island.
In a statement issued on Thursday afternoon the bank said the decision came after a thorough strategic review of its business.
RBTT will be closing branches in Fairview in Montego Bay; Port Antonio in Portland and Southfield in St. Elizabeth within the next six months.
Minna Israel, President and Country Head of RBTT Jamaica said the bank is continually fine tuning its strategy to address shifts in market demand, changes in consumer behavior and to improve the bank's overall efficiency.
After the changes, RBTT’s branch network in Jamaica will be supported by 17 branches and 42 ATMs.
Ms. Israel also noted that the RBTT is in consultation with the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) and will honour all existing collective agreements to ensure that employees are treated fairly and with respect throughout this process.
