Sagicor Bank reports profit increase

Sagicor Bank is reporting a more than $400 million increase in profit.

For the nine-month period ended September 30, the bank generated net profit of $1.41 billion, which was $405 million or 40 per cent more than the same period last year.

Sagicor Bank says this performance hinged mainly on the Bank's emphasis to grow its loan book and deposit base as well as expand the payments segment.

Net interest income of $5.4 billion increased by $504 million or 10 per cent over last year.
