Take over rumours hit C&W Worldwide
C&W Worldwide, the sister company of LIME, could be the target for a takeover from Singapore Telecoms.
A UK Newspaper report Sunday said the Singaporean company had approached bankers in Asia and Europe over the bid.
C&W Worldwide is valued at more than US$2.8 billion.
It is not yet known how a bid for C&W Worldwide would affect the operations of LIME, here in the Caribbean.
C&W Worldwide was created in March after the British-based telecoms company split into an enterprise arm and the consumer-focused Cable & Wireless Communications, which runs networks in the Caribbean.
Singapore Telecoms is owned by the Singapore government's sovereign-wealth-fund Temasek Holdings.
