Wentworth Charles appointed chairman of SCJ

Attorney Wentworth Charles has been appointed chairman of  the seven member Board of  the Sugar Company of Jamaica (SCJ) Holdings.The Board will serve for two years.

The other member are John Plummer, Tony Scott, Basil Perriel, Reginald Rampair, Peter Thompson and Stephanie Muir.
   
The Sugar Company of  Jamaica is involved in the cultivation of  cane, as well as the manufacture and sale of  sugar and molasses in Jamaica. It operates as a subsidiary of  COMPLANT International Sugar Industry.                                                         
The Board of  the JMMB Group will meet on Thursday to consider the payment of  an interim dividend.
   
It will be disbursed to holders of  the company’s ordinary shares.
