Beenie Man released

Beenie Man.

The police have released dancehall artiste Moses Davis, popularly called Beenie Man, who was taken into police custody Wednesday morning.

Beenie Man was taken to the Hunts Bay Police Station in St Andrew by his attorney but was later released on bail.

The police say Beenie Man was questioned following allegations of gun toting during an altercation last Saturday with graffiti artiste LA Lewis.

According to reports, mourners were leaving the funeral service for Voicemail member Oneil Edwards, when LA Lewis and Beenie Man were involved in an accident.

The reports suggested LA Lewis was bidding farewell to onlookers when he reportedly ran his vehicle into the back of Beenie Man’s sport utility vehicle.

An enraged Beenie Man reportedly slapped LA Lewis.

Guns were also reportedly drawn in the altercation.

I hope he loses his license. yet again, it's Jamaica. Seems as though the place is lawless.

yes i agree anyone can do anything there and get away with it, its wrong and needs to be changed

its a shame to see who are consider role models in our communities behaving in that manner... i would advice these so called entertainers to go back to school and learn how to give a half decent interview

Hay Bennie Man and LA LEWIS, there is a better way to settle a conflict; talking it over is better than fighting it out everytime.

Why do people think because a person is a celebrity they are a role model? A role model should be an important person in one’s life such as parents, teachers, and professionals such as doctors, nurses and such. If Bennie Man is important in you or your child’s life (or niece/ nephew if you are childless) then you must live a very shallow and disillusioned life.

Benie Man is ignorant and immature to behave like that.Well he is not really a man but a boy based on his behavior.

My backing for Ruperts comment, why should the likes of beenie man be taken as Role Model? To date Beenie man still can't string two sentences together properly. yet with all his earnings he will not spend a small portion of it to educate himself to the point where he can hold a decent conversation, is this really the type of individuals we want our children to choose as ROLE MODELS not me. We then ask why the intellectaul development of our nation youths is stifling as it is. come on parents you need to guide your children much better money should not be the judge of character....

Bwoy Beenie yuh salt!!!

He should be warned that Tupac saga started like that.

It's ashamed that Jamaica allow such lawlessness. It's always the case of who has the most money can do whatever they want without fear of being punished for their crimes. Beenie Man is nothing but a thug. I am so glad he is banned from entering the United States because he believes he is above the law and that needs to stop. He does nothing but spew hatred and his ignorance is so obvious. The government needs to do better and stop allowing crimes to go unpunished and maybe just maybe the tourism will improve.
