Air Services Agreement signed with three countries

The Government has signed three Air Services Agreements with the Czech Republic, Turkey and New Zealand during the International Civil Aviation Organisation Air Navigation Conference in Bali, Indonesia.

The agreements will in some cases facilitate non-scheduled air services between Jamaica and these States.

In addition, Jamaica was able to conclude discussions with India, Sri Lanka, Burkina Faso, Austria, Kenya as well as Ethiopia for the development of  air services agreements.

The agreements will be placed before Cabinet for approval and signing at a later date.

Jamaica was also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Qatar which will make it possible for the island to sign the previously initialled air services agreements between the States.
