A man has been charged with Illegal Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition following an operation at the intersection of Cassie Lane and Glen Drive in Cassava Piece, Kingston 8 on Tuesday.
He is 22 year-old Everton Brown, otherwise called Eva, a labourer from the community.
He is scheduled to appear in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on October 6.
Mr. Brown was accosted by the police about 10:25 a.m.
He was searched and a gun and a magazine containing thirteen rounds of ammunition were reportedly taken from him.
