A business operator on Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew is fuming and demanding compensation after his establishment was flooded Thursday afternoon.

Champion Battery, in the vicinity of the Ministry of Justice, was inundated following afternoon rains.

Nigel Benka Coker, a spokesman for the company, said it was caused by the road improvement project now underway in the area.

Amoy William, an employee of Champion Battery, said the problem was more than likely due to the road being blocked off so the water could not run along the road as it usually does.

She said it was the first time that the compound has been flooded.

The company has called for the authorities to prevent a recurrence.
