The Meteorological Service has continued the Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood prone areas of all parishes until 5 pm on Saturday.
The Meteorological Service says although Tropical Storm Erika has degenerated to a Trough of Low Pressure, unstable conditions remain across Jamaica.
It said radar reports indicated that showers affected sections of eastern and central parishes this morning.
Projections are for showers and thunderstorms, which could be heavy at times, to continue to affect Jamaica today into tomorrow morning.
The Met office says flash flooding is likely over some low-lying and flood-prone areas
Residents are urged to take precautionary measures, and keep informed by listening to further releases from the Meteorological Office, and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed, or if a warning is issued.
