JPS exceeds streetlight repair target

The Jamaica Public Service Company,(JPS),is reporting that having exceeded its October target for streetlight repairs it is scheduled to fix another 2,000 streetlights by the end of  this month.
 
As part of the company's accelerated streetlight repair programme, 2,544   street lamps were repaired surpassing the target of  2,000.
 
This also includes expediting the procurement of  streetlighting supplies from overseas and ramping up repairs for the rest of  the year.
 
Streetlights in several communities in Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon, Manchester, St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland as well as Hanover will be repaired this month.
