Man accused of using machete to chop ex-partner remanded

Mark Lee Lennon, 32, who is charged with wounding with intent and occasioning grievous bodily harm, was remanded when he appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish court on Tuesday.  
Mr. Lennon was remanded until September 27.  
He was arrested following a machete attack on his former female companion in Abraham District in June which left the woman suffering from multiple chop wounds.  
Reports are that about 9 p.m., Mr. Lennon attacked the woman after she told him the relationship was over.
