The police have made a breakthrough in their investigation into the murder of a livestock farmer in Portland.
They have arrested and charged 29 year old Odale Hinds of Buff Bay, Portland in connection with the June 13 knife slaying of Desmond Lindo.
Mr. Lindo was found with stab wounds at Plum Valley near Buff Bay.
The police say Mr. Hinds was recently charged in connection with the theft of goats from Mr. Lindo’s farm, and was awaiting a court date to answer praedial larceny charges.
