A major manhunt is underway for a serial rapist who has been targetting women in Portmore, St. Catherine.
The operation is being led by the Greater Portmore Police.
It is reported that more than a dozen women have been attacked.
Senior Superintendent Clive Blair, head of the St. Catherine South Police Division, told RJR News that over the last few weeks, the serial rapist broke into houses and attacked the victims at knife point in several communities, such as Bridgeport, Cumberland, Portmore Pines, and Silver Stone.
SSP Blair said the rapist has been targeting single women as well as teens. His victims range from age 19 to 60 years old.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage of the rapist.
SSP Blair said the serial rapist usually wears short pants which fall just below the knee, camouflage, a basball cap, knapsack on his back and covers his face with cloth. He is medium built and of dark complexion.
He advised all females to be on the alert and take notice of strangers coming in their communities.
