Police question couple held following gun and ammunition seizure

Investigators have questioned the man and woman who were taken into custody in Trelawny last week following the seizure of  three guns and a quantity of  ammunition.
 
RJR News understands that they were questioned on Saturday, however, it's not known if  they have been charged.
 
It’s reported that about 11:30 on the morning of  January 14, the police were conducting an operation on Carey Park Road when they stopped a car being driven by the man. 
 
The woman was a passenger.
 
The car was searched and a Beretta pistol with a magazine containing seven rounds of  ammunition was reportedly seized.
 
Following questioning, the police went to the house of  one of  the suspects at Samuel Prospect in Trelawny.
 
A search of  the property, yielded an AK 47rifle, a M16 rifle and 52 rounds of  ammunition.
