Residents in Boscobel, St. Mary protest poor road conditions

Residents of Gully Road in Boscobel, St. Mary are yet another community are protesting poor road conditions.
   
The residents blocked a section of the coastal highway to register their discontent on Friday morning.
   
The residents used old tyres, trees and other debris to block the road, preventing the movement of vehicular traffic.
   
Students and other commuters were stranded for several hours.
   
The roadblocks have been cleared by the police who are now on the scene.
   
The residents are calling for their political representatives to address the problem which they say has existed for years. 
   
In recent weeks, there have been similar protests in St. Thomas, Clarendon, Westmoreland and St. Catherine.
