Rockfort killings: fearful witnesses not talking

Investigators probing Wednesday's deadly attack in Rockfort, St Andrew have run into a major roadblock as eyewitnesses have reportedly refused to come forward.

Nine persons were shot, three fatally, in the attacks on St Johns Road and Hildene Avenue by rival thugs.

Two men who were named "persons of interest" surrendered on Thursday.

A senior investigator told RJR News that the police face an uphill task, as witnesses have refused to cooperate, out of  fear. He said they may have to release the two men, due to the lack of evidence.

Two other suspects named by the police are yet to turn themselves in.
