Sentencing for Ninjaman, co-accused put off until Monday

The sentencing hearing for entertainer Desmond 'Ninjaman' Ballentine, his son and another man has been put off until Monday.

This is due to the absence of one of the attorneys, Gladstone Wilson, who is reportedly involved in another case in St. Catherine.

The sentencing had been scheduled to get underway today.

Ninjaman, Jahneil Ballentine and Dennis Clayton were convicted in the Home Circuit Court last month.

They were found guilty of the 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson on Mall Road in Kingston.

Ninjaman was also found guilty for the additional charge of shooting.

Prosecutors had presented evidence that Mr. Johnson was fatally shot while in a yard, by the artiste and other men.

The men had denied killing Mr. Johnson.
