Turner takes head coach role with cross country team at Fayettville

Former national middle distance star Inez Turner is now head coach of the women's cross country athletics programme at Fayetteville State University in the United States. Turner recently departed Winston Salem State University to join the North Carolina-based Fayetteville State University and was recently awarded women cross country coach of the week. Fayetteville State University competes under  the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) division. 

Turner competed for Jamaica at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games as well as the 1993 World Athletics Championships in Germany and the 1997 World Championships in Athens where she helped Jamaica to the bronze medal in the women's 4x400 meter relay. She also competed for Texas State University, winning 800 meter titles at the 1994 and 1995 NCAA Division One Outdoor Championships.
