Gang members held for Bijoux heist
Four members of a West Kingston-based criminal gang have been arrested in connection with last week's jewellery heist at the Bijoux Duty Free Shop in New Kingston.
The suspects, who hail from Rose Town, were arrested during joint operations by the St. Andrew South, St. Andrew Central and West Kingston Police in West Kingston and Manchester.
Two of the suspects were held in Rose Town community, last Thursday, while the other two were held in Mandeville on Friday.
The cops have also recovered some of the stolen jewellery.
The men are scheduled to face a series of identification parades.
Last Wednesday, armed robbers entered the Bijoux shop, and made off with millions of dollars worth of jewellery, cash, cellular phones and other items.
Several customers, who were in the store at the time of the hold-up, were also robbed of valuables.
The men fled the duty free shop and jumped into a waiting motor car.
