Livity’s case mentioned in Criminal Court
The case against Leighton "Livity" Coke, the brother of former Western Kingston strongman Christopher "Dudus" Coke was mentioned in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Friday.
Coke was charged on July 21 with shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm.
The prosecution's case is that on May 25 during the military/police incursion in Western Kingston, he fired his weapon at members of the security forces.
Mr. Coke, who is represented by George Soutar and Peter Champagnie, is expected to return to court on August 27.
He remains in custody.
Prosecutors say he is also being investigated for other crimes committed in the Western Kingston police division.
He was handed over by Head of the Fellowship Tabernacle Reverend Al Miller on June 1 after the police placed him on a list of major persons of interest.
