PNPYO writes to Golding asking him to step down
The People's National Party Youth Organization (PNPYO) is increasing its pressure on Prime Minister Bruce Golding to resign in the wake of the latest revelations about the Government and the Manatt, Phelps and Phillips affair.
Damion Crawford, Chairman of the PNPYO, says his organisation has written to the Prime Minister asking him to resign.
“Today we sent a letter to Mr. Golding asking him to consider the realities of his action and begging him not to set this negative example for future politicians like ourselves to use his as an excuse for misleading the public and for betraying the trust of the people. We’ve asked him to step aside gracefully and take whatever recommendations we’ve made to actually pay appeasement to the negativity that he has brought upon himself,” Mr. Crawford said.
He added that while the PNPYO has not made a request for any public march or gathering it has not ruled out taking to the streets.
“We are awaiting Mr. Golding’s response and if we do not receive a response, or we’re not satisfied with his response we are willing to show our disgust on the streets,” Mr. Crawford noted.
