Jamaica's Dustin Brown was on court for an hour and 25 minutes on Friday before going down 5-7, 3-6, 0-6 to Britain's Andy Murray in the second round of the US Open at Flushing Meadows.
Brown, who equalled Richard Russell's 1974 French Open performance on Wednesday to become the second Jamaican to reach the second round of a Grand Slam event, pushed Murray to 5-all in the first set.
But the fourth seed won 14 of the next 17 games to move into the third round.
