JA to be name delegation for youth Olympics
Jamaica will be looking to make its mark in three sports at the first-ever 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore from August 14 to 26.
Jamaica will field contestants in swimming and badminton, and track and field.
The squads will be introduced on Thursday at a press briefing to be held at the Jamaica Olympic Association offices in Kingston.
It was hoped that the presence of two of sports biggest stars, Usain Bolt and American swimmer Michael Phelps would help hype up the Games by attending.
However, both have indicated they will not attend because of competition schedules.
