Six day wait for decision on host of regional one day tournament
Paul Campbell, JCA President.
Within the next six days, the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) will know if they will host the regional one day tournament set to bowl off in October.
This was disclosed by Paul Campbell, JCA President, who said Jamaica remain the front runner to the win the bid.
“In terms of our preparation and our ability to host it, it’s looking very good, so it’s a matter of working out and agreeing on the details. Once we can do that, it’s highly likely that Jamaica will host the tournament,” he said.
Campbell added that certain factors will be essential should Jamaica win the bid.
“It’s a whole lot to host a regional tournament, so funding is going to be critical and the level of support for the tournament is going to be a major factor.”
