JA’s victory over Costa Rica in perspective
Following Jamaica's one nil win over Costa Rica on Sunday night in their friendly international at the National Stadium, the team is now in Fort Lauderdale preparing for their friendly against Peru on Tuesday.
Assistant coach Bradley Stewart puts Sunday night's performance into perspective.
“We evaluate the results based on where we want to get to in another two years which is preparation for our Digicel participation and our participation in the Gold Cup, that is the focus at the moment. Additionally what you want to be able to do is identify your core set of players that in two or three years, you are going to have them at their best for the World Cup qualifiers. On a scale I think we should feel reasonably satisfied,” Stewart said.
The Jamaica squad to be bolstered with the inclusion of Shavar Thomas, Omar Cummings and Nicholas Addlery will be facing a Peruvian team which defeated Canada 2-nil in Toronto on Saturday.
