TG to face KSAFA's Competitions Committee
Tivoli Gardens Football Club will face the Kingston and Sr. Andrew Football Association's (KSAFA's) Competitions Committee next Tuesday following their no-show for Wednesday's Champions’ League encounter against Waterhouse at Drewsland.
Tivoli faces a maximum $25,000 fine and further sanctions could be applied by KSAFA's Disciplinary Committee.
The match was to be held at the Edward Seaga Complex but was later switched to Drewsland due to conflict between the club sponsor and KSAFA's competition sponsor.
According to Rudolph Speid, KSAFA's President, said they tried to work with the Tivoli management but things did not work out in the end.
“We were very interested in having Tivoli competing in our competition and giving them a home game. We said we would allow the match to be played in Tivoli under several conditions but Tivoli couldn’t meet those conditions hence we switch the match location,” Speid said.
