Women’s U-17 World Cup off to a thrilling start
The FIFA women's under-17 World Cup tournament kicked off in Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday with 21 goals being scored.
Hosts Trinidad & Tobago scored an emotional 2-1 victory over Chile, while Germany sent a strong message to rivals with a 9-nil thrashing of Mexico.
Defending champions North Korea were upset 3-2 by Nigeria while South Korea beat South Africa 3-1.
In Monday’s action Brazil edged the Republic of Ireland 2-1, while Spain defeated Japan 4-1.
