Former president heading back to Waterhouse?

Voice of Waterhouse FC General Secretary Richard McCallum

RJR Sports online understands that former President Donovan White could be heading back to take over the reigns of Waterhouse FC after they parted company with Fitzroy Vidal on Wednesday.

General Secretary Richard McCallum says club chairman Bruce Bicknell will reveal the name of the new president in a matter of weeks.

The Drewsland-based club issued a release on Wednesday, stating the club and community were undertaking a transformation with a number of changes to its structure and representatives.

Meanwhile, McCallum gave details of Vidal's exit: “Based on the restructuring exercise that we intend to carry out, the president and the board were not on the same page so to speak so the president, and the board as well, have decided mutually to part company. The president also wanted to change procedures which weren’t agreed on and these procedures worked over the years,” said McCallum

Vidal took over at the start of the current season, having replaced Ricky Chin who resigned as president last season.

Waterhouse who have won two Red Stripe Premier League titles, narrowly avoided relegation from the 2015/2016 season on the last day of regular league matches.
