Johnson to take on IBF heavy weight champ
Former boxing champion Glen Johnson is expressing optimism ahead of Saturday’s fight when he challenge International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud for his title.
The fight will be in St. Louis, Missouri.
The main undercard bout pits Cloud with record of 20-0, which includes 18 knock-outs (KOs), against the 41-year-old Jamaican Johnson, whose records stands at 50-13-2, with 34 KOs.
This would be Johnson’s third fight in the past three years.
The main event will see the reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) and IBF junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander defend his belts against former champion Andriy Kotelnik in a title triple-header at the Scottrade Center.
Also on the Don King-promoted card is IBF junior middleweight champion, Cory Spinks, taking on Cornelius Bundrage.
