Puma could return to "Champs"

Sports goods manufacturers, Puma, could be back as one of the associate sponsors of the popular Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association, ISSA Grace Kennedy  Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships in time for next year's edition, according to reliable RJR Sports Online sources.

Puma parted company with ISSA when their contract expired after the 2012 staging of "Champs" with Chinese sports goods manufacturers 361 degrees international taking over for the 2013 and 2014 versions.

ISSA President, Dr. Walton Small, was asked if negotiations with Puma could be more difficult this time around.

“When we have our sponsors and when we part, we always try to part on amicable grounds," Dr. Small said. " When we parted with Puma it was very, very amicable."

“And if you observe the two years that they have been off, when they come to Champs, we treat them just the same," Dr. Small offered. "As  a matter of fact, put it this way, we are almost a 100 percent that Puma will come back”, Small advised.

A source close to Puma told RJR Sports Online,  discussions were expected to take place soon between both parties.
