Reggae Boyz beat Guyana to assume Group "C" lead in CNL

The Reggae Boyz extended their lead atop Group “C” of League “B” action in the CONCACAF Nations League with a 4-0 win over hosts Guyana on Monday night at the Leonora National Track & Field Center. Alvas Powell and Dever Orgill had double strikes for the Reggae Boyz on the  night.

Powell opened the scoring for the Jamaicans in the 14th minute with his first international goal before scoring again 8 minutes later to make it 2-0. Orgill also got  his first in the 44th minute before returning for his second in the 54th. The Jamaican who have scored 10 goals in two matches so far moved to 6 points atop the table.

Membaers of Jamaica's contingent  returned to the island on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, the return leg match against Guyana will be played on November 18. The Reggae Boyz will however next be in action on October 12 when they host Aruba in their third group game.
