Reggae Boyz remain steady in world rankings

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have remained steady in the August edition of the FIFA rankings as they stayed at number 54 in the world. Jamaica also remains at number four in CONCACAF and number one in the Caribbean. Despite falling to number 16 in the world, Mexico remains at number one in the region, followed by USA and Costa Rica who are at number 22 and 32 in the world respectively.

World Cup debutants Panama were the biggest fallers in the region, dropping fourteen places to be at number 69 in the world. World Cup champions France have moved six places up to be number one in the world. The biggest move in the top ten saw Croatia hop from 20th in the world to number 4. Argentina and Germany have fallen out of the top ten and are now ranked at number 11 and 15 respectively.

England have moved up six places to sixth in FIFA's world rankings after their run to the World Cup semi-finals in Russia. It’s their highest position since they were fourth in March 2013. The top ten in the world comrprises France, Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Uruguay, England, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain and Denmark.
