Jamaica's Andre Russell is taking his role as ambassador for the game as seriously as he looks forward to helping the Tallawahs win their CPL games in Florida this weekend. The Tallawahs are to play back to back games against the Zouks on Saturday and Sunday at Lauderhill.
Russell is excited about the matches but admits to carrying an additional burden, with a disciplinary hearing for an anti-doping whereabouts rule violation hanging over him.
“When I cross the rope, I definitely block it out of my head but then when you go back to your room and have to face reality like something like that is coming on, it’s kind of stressing and depressing. I have an amazing bunch of guys around me and they keep me happy and keep me laughing. My lawyers are doing whatever they have to do,” said the 28 year old all-rounder.
The hearing for Russell's case has been set for September 19 and 20.
