Several swimmers hoping to make Carifta team after final trial

With the Carifta Swim Championships a few weeks away, the final swim time trial took place over the weekend at the National Stadium pool, to give swimmers one last chance to qualify for the national team. President of the Aquatic Swimming Association of Jamaica, Martin Lyn, there is to be a Carifta meeting on Tuesday evening, with the team's announcement following after.

Keenly, awaiting the team's announcement is Y-Speedos swimmer Jordan Payne, whose time may not be good enough to get him on the team. Meanwhile, the overseas-based Brianna Renault made her final Carifta team with a top two finish. The Carifta Swimming Championships is set to take place at the National Aquatic Centre in Kingston, from March 31 to April 4.
