Stakeholders discuss Jamaica's chances of hosting international sporting events

Some of the key stakeholders including General Manager of Independence Park Limited (IPL) Major Desmon Brown; Communications Manager for the National Works Agency (NWA) Stephen Shaw and lecturer in the Department of Economics at the UWI Mona Campus Dr Christine Clarke have all weighed in on the matter of Jamaica hosting international sporting events in the future.

Minister of Sports Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange recently announced that the government plans to have Jamaica host international sporting events. Minister Grange added that Jamaica would look to host an international event in two years’ time.
