Jamaica's Sunshine girls won their two test series against Caribbean rivals Trinidad and Tobago after carving out a 51-40 victory in the second and final game National Indoor Sports Centre on Tuesday evening. The Sunshine girls won the first quarter 14-13, while at half time the teams were tied at 28-28.
Goal-Attack Shanice Beckford led the scoring for Jamaica with 29 goals from 36 attempts while Goal-Shooter Shantal Slater had 13 from 16 and Thristina Harwood 9 from 14. The home team opened up the gap to lead 42-33 at the end of the third quarter. The Sunshine Girls won the opening game 61-40 on Sunday. The Jamaicans will now turn their attention to a three test series against England starting on Thursday also at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
