Thompson heads star-studded 200m line-up at Pre-Fontaine Classic

Double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson headlines six Jamaicans down to take part on Saturday's main day of the Pre-Fontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, the third stop in the 2017 IAAF Diamond League Series.

Thompson who is unbeaten in her two Diamond League races this season, will take on a stacked field over 200 metres including Olympic silver medallist Daphne Schippers of the Netherlands, bronze medallist Torie Bowie of the USA, 2012 Olympic champion Allyson Felix and Rio Olympics 400 champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas. Multiple world and Olympic medallist Veronica Campbell-Brown and Simone Facey will contest the 100 metres.

Olympic finalist Janieve Russell will take on a quality field over 400 metre hurdles including Olympic champion Dalilah Muhammad of the United States. Olympic sprint hurdles champion Omar McLeod and Ronald Levy will be the only Jamaican males in action.

Canada's triple Olympic medallist Andre De Grasse will go up against American Justin Gatlin in the men's 100 metres.
