Top commentator says Narine needs fresh expertise help

Voice of top Caribbean cricket commentator Fazeer Mohammed

Renowned Caribbean cricket commentator Fazeer Mohammed believes West Indies spinner Sunil Narine is now in a real spin to save his international career.

Narine was suspended from international for the first time on Sunday for an illegal bowling action and Mohammed said it's now harder for his countryman since all his deliveries have been deemed illegal.

Mohammed also warned anyone against criticising the WICB over this latest setback to Narine due to the fact that he opted to remodel his action without the help of the regional body.

He said Narine should now seek different expertise in this rehabilitation phase than the ones he used from Trinidad recently.

“Many persons are now wondering if this is the end of his international career because an ICC ban effectively prevents him from playing for the West Indies. He now has to stay away from competitive cricket for at least 12 months and work with individuals who are qualified to help him,” said Mohammed.

The 27 year old Narine is currently the world’s number one ranked bowler both in T20 and 50 overs cricket.
