Windies 'A' lose to Sri Lanka 'A'

The West Indies 'A' went down by 138 runs to Sri Lanka 'A' in the final unofficial test in Dambulla to lose the three match series 2-1. Set 333 to win on the 4th and final day, the West Indies 'A' were dismissed for 194 in the post tea session.

Captain Shamar Brooks top scored with 46 while Kieran Powell made 44. Jeffery Vandersay was the destroyer with 6-47.

Earlier, Sri Lanka 'A' posted 257-6 declared in their 2nd innings after resuming on 211-5. Asela Gunaratne topscored with 69 while Sandun Weerakkody made 48.

Rahkeem Cornwall  4-84 and Keon Joseph 2-30, were the main wicket-takers. Jacobs went wicketless for 30 runs from his 4 overs.

Scores: Sri Lanka 'A' 318, 257-6 declared, West Indies 'A'243 and 194. The teams will now turn their attentions to their three match one day series starting on Monday in Dambulla.
