Windies on the verge of crushing victory over Bangladesh

Spurred on by yet another aggressive spell of fast bowling from Shannon Gabriel, the West Indies are four wickets a way from taking a 1-0 series lead in their two match test series against Bangladesh. At stumps on day two in Antigua, the Bangladeshis in their second innings, were reeling at 62- 6, still needing another 301 runs for the Windies to bat again.

Gabriel has snapped up 4-36 while captain Jason Holder has figures of 2-15. Mahmudullah who is 15 not out, is the visitors best scorer. Earlier, the Caribbean men resuming on 201-2, progressed to 406 all out with Kraigg Brathwaite notching his 7th test century as he fell for 121.

Shai Hope made 67 while captain Jason Holder and Kemar Roach made 33 each adding to Devon Smith's 58 and Kieran Powell's 48. Debutant Abu Jayed claimed 3-84 while Mehdi Hasan supported with 3-101. Play resumes at 9:00 am Jamaica time on Friday. Scores in the match: Bangladesh 43 and 62-6; West Indies 406 all out.
