Windies struggling in first test against India

The West Indies found themselves with a sizeable first innings deficit following Friday’s second day of their first test against India at the Sir Vivian Richards Ground in Antigua. The hosts trail by 108 runs with 2 first innings wickets remaining, having closed on 189-8 in their first innings reply..

Captain Jason Holder was 10 not out at the close. Roston Chase with 48, has top-scored so far for the Caribbean team. Guyanese Shimron Hetmeyer also made 35 while Shai Hope contributed 24 and Jamaica's John Campbell 23.
 
Ishant Sharma has been the pick of the Indian bowlers, grabbing 5-42. Earlier, the Indians were dismissed for 297 in their first innings after resuming on 203-6. Ravindra Jadeja carried the fight for the Indians with 58 after he had resumed on 3. Kemar Roach ended with 4-66 and Shanon Gabriel 3-71. Chase took 2-58 and Holder 1-35.
