Wolmer's capture Corporate Area volleyball double

Perennial winners Wolmer's Girl's and Boys are Corporate Area High School volleyball champions following victories on Tuesday over Camperdown inside the UWI Gymnasium. Led by outstanding play from skipper Aiko Jones, Wolmer's Girls made it 28 titles in a row after an easy 3-0 win over their opponents 25-5; 25-15, 25-14.

The boy's final was a close affair going five sets with Wolmer's coming from two sets to one down to prevail 3-2 with scores of 23-25, 25-14, 17-25, 24-26, 15-8. In the Central Zone St Jago boys and girls captured their respective titles. On the girls side, St Jago won 3 -1 over St Catherine 25-23, 25-14, 19-25, 25-22 to retain their title.

It was an easy victory on the boys side for St Jago as they brushed aside Oracabessa 3-0, winning 25-18, 26-24, 25-23. The all-island finals will be played on March 28 also at the UWI Gymnasium.
