Sangster International upgrades 80% complete

MBJ Airports Limited, operator of Sangster International Airport, is reporting 80 per cent completion of the ramp and taxiway resurfacing works.

MBJ is investing some US$26 million to resurface the taxiways, shoulders and ramps at Sangster International Airport.

MBJ says S&G Road Surfacing will complete the asphalt works on schedule by mid-September.

The concrete works subcontracted to Cemex will also be completed on schedule by the end of November.

The airport's ramps are being resurfaced using concrete rather than asphalt to ensure greater durability.
