An elderly man perished in a blaze in Middle Buxton in St. Ann on Wednesday night.
He has been identified as 95-year-old Solomon Campbell, otherwise called 'Pappy'.
Fire was seen coming from Mr. Campbell's house about 7:30 p.m.
Residents were unable to rescue him from the building.
The Fire Brigade was called and the charred remains of Mr. Campbell were found following cooling down operations.
